Sharing is caring!

Knowing how to start a conversation with a guy is a great way to keep him interested. Guys have turn-offs too. And the only way to make him want to chat or have a conversation with you for the second time is to initiate a convo with him in the right way.

Today, I will be teaching you the best ways to start a conversation with a guy and make him like you. So, if you’re worried about how to begin a conversation with your guy crush, worry no more. This article is for you. Let’s get started.

How to start a conversation with a guy

1. Introduce yourself

The easiest way to start a conversation with a guy is to say ‘hi’ and greet him. Whether you’re initiating the conversation over the text or physically, say ‘hi’ to him and greet him. Guys give more attention to girls who are respectful to them. So, if you’re finding it difficult to greet guys, start practising it today. When you are done with the greetings, introduce yourself briefly and ask him to tell you about himself.

2. Talk about his bio description

If you’re chatting with him over the text, complement his profile after exchanging greetings. But how do you do this? Do you just tell him ‘hey! You look cute in your profile. This might sound nice but you don’t have to begin this way. You can start by complimenting his bio description. For instance, ‘hi! greetings to you. I discovered you’re a fan of Man United, I also love the club. Who is your favourite player? Or you can say something about his hobby if it’s also there in his bio.

3. Ask him questions

Guys love to be asked questions, especially if they like you. And asking him questions is one of the ways to keep the conversation going. You can ask him about his hobby, where he’s from, the meaning of his name, his likes and dislikes, etc. Here is my previous post about questions to ask your crush.

4. Flirt with him

A guy will develop an interest in you if he feels romantically or sexually attracted to you. And the best way to get him in the mood to chat with you is to flirt with him. Attract and keep him interested with some sweet compliments. Do not forget to show your humour also. Laugh at his jokes and be funny too.

5. Do not waste time responding

I see a lot of girls making this mistake over text. Your guy crush has not fallen in love with you, so you need to keep him interested. A guy will lose interest in chatting with you if he discovers you don’t reply on time. Make him feel like he’s the only person you’re chatting with by replying to his texts on time. This will attract him more.

6. Ask him for his number

There is nothing wrong with asking a guy for his number. In fact, he will gladly give it to you if he also has a crush on you. So, how will you know if he likes you if you don’t talk to him or even ask him for his number? If you are shy to ask a guy for his number, try telling him to add you up on WhatsApp or you can ask him to send his number so you can add him on WhatsApp. Personally, I get turned off when a girl sends me her number for me to add her on WhatsApp when I didn’t ask for it. But I will quietly give you mine if you ask for it than sending me your number when I didn’t demand it.

7. Leave good memories

Before you end the conversation with him, make sure you leave some good memories behind. These memories will make him think about you and start longing for your texts.
